I am looking for instructors to take on their own classes and be part of the growth of the Horizon Center.

How does it work?

1) You purchase the Horizon Center Training package which contains materials for teaching the class both in person and online including:

• 24 units of curriculum on Jigsaw Box -- complete with videos, radio shows, questions and assignments for students-- all the material is ready to go! I give you access to the back end of Jigsaw Box so you can mark your students and access the curriculum.  For a list of learning outcomes click here

• A Script and Technique Manual- 300+ pages of scripts and techniques for addressing a variety of clients goals. 

• A Theory Manual- 300+ pages, coinciding with the material in Jigsaw Box

• A Teaching Manual with lesson plans and instructions for training -- I have a Bachelor of Education and so I KNOW how to create lesson plans. I will provide you step by step, minute by minute guides for every class. Lesson plans include materials needed, introductions to course content, exercises,activities and homework assignments to help students incorporate the techniques and theories and debriefing questions to get your students thinking more deeply about the exercises in class

• An assessment guide for marking students

 

2) I provide you training, included in the price of your Training package, on any techniques I teach at my school that you may be unfamiliar with

3) I provide training in how to teach the material

​

4) I provide training in the administrative  end of things such as how Jigsaw Box works, how to assess students, how to help students get certification etc

​

5) I make myself available for ongoing support via Zoom and email so that you have someone in your corner as you begin to establish your school

​

6) We split the tuition

year 1 I get 40%, you get 60%

year 2 I get 30%, you get 70%

year 3, I get 20%, you get 80

year 4 and beyond, I get 10% , you get 90%

The percentages reflect the amount of time I will be spending training and supporting you while you get your school established. The first year, I will work with you side by side to get your school started out. I will provide monthly training in getting students. teaching the classes and whatever else you require.

By year 4, you should have a good understanding of how to run things and how to teach the program. I will take a smaller role but continue to market for you, provide support and do Admin (such as reporting to the provincial gov't). My goal is for you to be able to focus on serving your students while I focus on sending them to you knowing they will get quality instruction!

Let's talk money:

Having a Hypnotherapy school is a great way to break out of the income cap that exists when you are in practice. As a Hypnotherapist, there was always a limit as to how much I could earn based on what people were willing to pay for Hypnotherapy sessions and on how many hours I was willing to work.

​

Owning a school, I have been able to increase my income working only one or two weekends a month teaching and doing only marginal advertising.

​

In 2019 my school earned $46,857 running one class

In 2018 the school earned $79,835 running two classes

In 2017 the school earned $41,646 running one class

​

And let me repeat-- one class is only one weekend a month! Having a full time practice, and a life on the side, I wasn't interested in teaching more than that. I also wanted to keep my classes to 10 students or less so as not to have to rent additional space to teach out of.

​

However, you can teach as many classes as you want and I am giving you both an online and an in person class. With the virus, people are becoming more interested in working online and, with an online program, you  can have as many students as you want with very little overhead.

​

There is also potential for more earning having students as well as clients. Students tend to become loyal to their instructor and may be willing to pay for workshops, products, seminars, supervision and marketing support beyond the tuition for the training.

My curriculum is thorough, but also allows space for you, the instructor, to bring in techniques or lectures that are your own.

I will provide you minute by minute lesson plans for every class so that you know exactly what to teach and HOW! The lessons are arranged in a logical order, beginning with a structured approach to doing hypnosis and moving into working spontaneously with clients (no scripts required)

The methods I use are client centered. You will NOT be teaching your students to simply give suggestions to a passive client. You will be teaching how to uncover and address the real cause of the client's symptoms.

I had some sessions done by Linda Campbell. We were working on my approx 20 year plus sleeping issues that had eventually taken their toll on my health in many ways. After the first couple of sessions, I noticed some positive results to prove that this was definitely helping. Over the last 5 months after the initial 4-5 sessions, and with a session here and there since, my sleeping is now mostly very good, which is something I have not seen for a very long time prior to now. I am now getting deep and restorative sleep . In the past it was rare to get more than a few good nights sleeps in a month!  Since I have had these results, and as well am very interested in deeper understanding of the subconscious mind and how we can unknowingly create unhealthy programs in the past that adversely affect our lives now and into the future, I have been deeply inspired to become a Hypnotherapist. I did find out that there were other courses available elsewhere to become certified in Hypnotherapy for a lot less money and time involvement, but they did not seem to offer such an in depth curriculum as this course. I have learned a great deal more in understanding how unhealthy patterns can occur and affect our lives, and of course what we can do about healing them.
