How do you know when your client is in hypnosis? What level of hypnosis are they in and what does that mean as far as what they will experience?
This unit answers all of these questions and more. We will go deep into the discussion of trance and look at how depth and brainwave levels are interrelated.We will look at signs of hypnosis and also discuss how all of us are hypnotized culturally every day.
by the end of this unit, you will be able to:
•Explain what cultural hypnosis is and give examples from your own life.
•Describe the four different trance types, and give examples of each.
•Explain the difference between somebody who is high on the suggestibility scale and somebody who is on the lower end.
•Describe the four depths of trance and phenomena related to each.
•Describe the four brainwave levels, Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and the characteristics of each.
•Explain the connection between brainwave levels suggestibility and depths of hypnosis.
•Describe several signs of hypnosis and be able to explain the cause of those signs.
•Be familiar with your own personal experience of hypnosis.
