Learn Your Way
One Training Foundation. Different Ways to Learn.
Everyone begins with the same comprehensive Self-Paced Practitioner Training.
The 28-unit program gives you the core knowledge, techniques, practical exercises, volunteer client experience, practicum, and feedback you need to develop your skills as a hypnotherapist.
But people learn differently.
Some students love the freedom of working primarily on their own schedule. Others want to add live workshops, demonstrations, practice, or opportunities to ask questions. And some want a much more immersive experience with regular supervised practice, feedback, and mentorship.
That's why you can choose how much live learning you want to add to your Practitioner Training.
Learn at Your Own Pace
Complete the Practitioner Training primarily on your own schedule, with the practice, assignments, practicum, and feedback already built into the program.
Add Live Learning À La Carte
Build your own learning experience by adding AMAs, workshops, Inside the Session Lab, supervised practice, or private support whenever they're useful to you.
Immerse Yourself
Combine your Practitioner Training with the Six-Month Practice & Mentorship Program for 60 hours of live learning, supervised practice, personalized feedback, and mentorship.
There isn't one right way to learn. The goal is to choose the level of structure, interaction, and support that works best for you.

Path 1: Learn at Your Own Pace
If flexibility is what matters most to you, the Self-Paced Practitioner Training gives you the freedom to work through the complete 28-unit curriculum on your own schedule.
You'll learn through video, audio, and written lessons, watch real client demonstrations, complete practical exercises and assignments, work with volunteer clients, and complete a practicum with personalized feedback from me.
You can move through the training at the pace that works for you and return to the lessons and materials whenever you need them.
This path may be right for you if you:
Enjoy learning independently
Need your training to fit around work, family, or other commitments
Prefer to move through material at your own pace
Want the freedom to add live learning only when you want it
Path 2: Add Live Learning À La Carte
Maybe you like the flexibility of self-paced training, but you also want opportunities to learn with me live along the way.
You can build your own learning experience by adding live training whenever it would be useful to you. Ask questions, watch real client work, practice with other students, explore specific techniques, or get one-on-one help with something you're working on.
Choose from:
Ask Me Anything (AMA)
Bring your questions about the training, techniques, client work, or building your practice.
Practical Workshops
Explore specific techniques and skills through live teaching, demonstrations, exercises, and practice.
Inside the Session Lab
Follow real client work and learn how I make decisions and adapt sessions as new information emerges.
Supervised Practice Lab
Practice with another student in a structured setting with teaching, observation, and feedback from me.
Private Training Support
Work with me one-on-one on course material, session planning, techniques, volunteer work, or anything else you'd like help with.
You can add one experience or several, depending on what you want more of as your skills develop.
Path 3: Immerse Yourself
Some people learn best when they're actively involved, practicing regularly, asking questions, and receiving feedback as they go.
If that sounds like you, the Six-Month Hypnotherapy Practice & Mentorship Program offers a more immersive learning experience alongside your Practitioner Training.
Over six months, we'll spend 60 hours together live on Zoom, focusing on developing your practical skills and learning how to think like an experienced hypnotherapist.
You'll work with the same practice partner from the initial consultation through five hypnosis sessions, learning how to gather information, plan individualized sessions, recognize what's important, and decide where to go next.
You'll also learn and practice additional techniques, observe demonstrations, ask questions, and receive personalized feedback and supervision from me.
This path may be right for you if you:
Learn best through hands-on experience
Want regular opportunities to practice with other students
Appreciate having an instructor observe your work and offer feedback
Want to develop your confidence working with clients over multiple sessions
Enjoy the structure and connection of learning with a group
You don't have to complete your Practitioner Training before joining.
You simply need to have completed the first 10 units before the live program begins.
Why I Changed the Way I Teach
For many years, I taught my professional hypnotherapy training in a classroom. My students and I spent one full weekend together each month over the course of a year.
I loved those weekends. I loved watching students develop their skills, answering questions I hadn't anticipated, demonstrating techniques, and working through real client situations together.
But I also knew that committing to a year of scheduled classroom training wasn't practical for everyone.
When the pandemic moved my teaching online, I began rethinking how I could offer the best of both worlds.
I wanted students to have the freedom to study the curriculum on their own schedule, revisit lessons whenever they needed to, and take as much time as they wanted to understand the material.
But I didn't want to lose the things that made our classroom weekends so valuable: the conversations, demonstrations, practice, questions, and feedback.
That's how the different learning paths at Horizon Center developed.
Today, you can learn primarily on your own schedule, add live experiences whenever you want them, or join me for six months of structured practice and mentorship.
The way you learn may be different from someone else's. Your training should give you room for that.

Not Sure Which Learning Path Is Right for You?
You don't have to figure everything out before you begin.
You might start with the Self-Paced Practitioner Training and discover that you'd enjoy attending an occasional workshop or AMA.
You might decide you want more regular opportunities to practice and receive feedback.
Or you might already know that you learn best with structure, interaction, and ongoing mentorship.
You can begin with the Practitioner Training and add live learning whenever you're ready.
And if you're not sure which approach would suit you best, I'd be happy to talk it through with you.
