Private Guided Training Program

Personal instruction, practical experience, and direct support as you move

from learning the material to working with clients

The self-paced hypnotherapy training gives you the freedom to move through the course on your own schedule.

For some students, that freedom works best when it is paired with regular one-on-one instruction, demonstrations, supervised practice, and the opportunity to ask questions as they arise.

The Private Guided Training Program is an invitation-only, twelve-month program for students who would benefit from a higher level of personal teaching and support.

It gives you thirty hours of private instruction with me, along with access to live training events throughout the year.

The program can support you wherever you are in the training.

You may be working through the early units and want more explanation and demonstration.

You may be preparing to work with volunteers and want help planning your sessions.

You may be developing your clinical thinking and learning how to respond when a session does not go as expected.

You may also be nearing the end of the course and beginning to think about your private practice,

your website, your services, and how you will begin finding clients.

The support changes as your needs change.

A More Personally Guided Way to Learn

This program combines the flexibility of self-paced learning with the connection and support of private instruction.

During our private sessions, we can slow down, look closely at the material, practice techniques, discuss your questions, and focus on the areas where you need the most support.

I can demonstrate techniques for you, observe you while you practice, and give you clear feedback on

what you are doing well and what you can improve.

We can also work together as you begin planning for volunteers and clients.

This may include reviewing consultations, looking at ABC charts, identifying possible causes, developing hypnotic arguments, and discussing how I would think through a particular case.

You are not expected to know in advance how you will use all thirty hours.

The program is designed to grow with you.

Stage One: Understanding the Training

In the earlier stages of the course, you may use your private hours to:

• Ask questions about the course material

• Review concepts in more detail

• See additional demonstrations

• Practice inductions, deepeners, convincers, and other techniques

• Improve your language, pacing, and delivery

• Learn how to use the material naturally rather than relying heavily on scripts

• Connect ideas from different parts of the training

• Build confidence before beginning volunteer work

Stage Two: Developing Practical Skills

As you begin applying what you have learned, we may use your private time to:

• Watch you perform techniques and give feedback

• Practice interviewing and consultation skills

• Review ABC charts

• Improve your ability to recognize patterns and associations

• Develop hypnotic arguments together

• Discuss how to respond when new information appears during a session

• Strengthen your decision-making

• Help you understand why one approach may be useful for one client and not another

• Build the ability to think like a hypnotherapist rather than simply follow a process

Stage Three: Preparing for Volunteers and Clients

When you are ready to begin working with volunteers or clients, we can focus on:

• Preparing for consultations

• Reviewing the information you have gathered

• Identifying possible root causes

• Planning sessions

• Choosing appropriate techniques

• Creating hypnotic arguments

• Reviewing completed sessions

• Discussing what happened and what you might do next

• Handling unexpected turns in a session

• Developing greater confidence in your own judgment

Stage Four: Building Your Private Practice

If you move through the training quickly, or you are ready to begin building your practice, you can also use your private hours for practical business support.

This may include:

• Clarifying the kind of work you want to do

• Identifying the clients or goals you want to focus on

• Reviewing your website

• Improving the way you describe your services

• Developing session packages

• Designing group programs or workshops

• Planning introductory talks or presentations

• Identifying possible referral sources

• Reaching out to community groups, businesses, wellness centers, or other potential hubs

• Creating a practical plan for finding your first clients

• Thinking through fees, consultations, scheduling, and client processes

This means the program remains useful no matter how quickly you move through the course.

If you need more time with the training material, we stay there.

If you are ready to begin practicing, we focus on practical skill development.

If you are ready to begin working professionally, we can turn our attention toward building your practice.

What Is Included

The Private Guided Training Program includes:

Thirty Hours of Private Instruction

You will receive thirty hours of one-on-one teaching with me over a twelve-month period.

Private sessions may include:

• Teaching

• Demonstrations

• Questions and discussion

• Observed practice

• Feedback on your techniques

• Volunteer and client preparation

• Consultation review

• ABC chart review

• Session planning

• Hypnotic argument development

• Case discussion

• Private practice development

Sessions may be booked in sixty-minute or ninety-minute blocks, depending on what we are working on.

Experience Hypnosis as the Client

You may also choose to use some of your private hours to receive hypnosis from me.

There is a great deal students can learn by experiencing hypnosis from the client’s side of the chair.

You have the opportunity to notice how the consultation feels, how I listen for important details,

how I structure the session, and how I work with a specific goal.

You can experience the pacing, language, techniques, and hypnotic arguments rather than only learning about them in theory.

Receiving hypnosis can also give you a clearer understanding of what your own clients may experience before, during, and after a session.

You may choose to work on any personal goal that is appropriate for hypnosis.

This can include issues that sometimes create barriers as students begin moving into professional practice, such as:

• Confidence in your abilities

• Fear of making mistakes

• Discomfort asking for payment

• Difficulty describing the value of your work

• Worry about being visible or promoting your services

• Hesitation about working with your first clients

• Feeling ready to begin, but continuing to delay the next step

• Outdated beliefs about success, money, responsibility, or being taken seriously

• Personal patterns that may affect how confidently you step into this work

This gives you the opportunity to work through your own goals while also learning from the way I approach the session.

Any hypnosis session you receive is counted as part of your thirty private hours.

The time may include the consultation, hypnosis session, and discussion afterward, depending on how we decide to structure it.

Two Live Training Events Per Month

You may also attend up to two eligible live training events each month during the twelve-month program.

Depending on your stage of training, your interests, and your schedule, you may choose from events such as:

• Ask Me Anything sessions

• Workshops

• Inside the Session events

• Supervised practice sessions

This gives you access to a wider range of teaching, observation, discussion, and practice without requiring you to attend everything.

You can choose the events that are most useful to you at that point in your training.

Note: Unused live event spaces do not carry forward into future months.

Live event access is subject to availability.

Some supervised practice programs may have limited spaces, pairing requirements, or participation requirements.

Special events, private services, guest instructor programs, and programs outside the regular Horizon Center training schedule may not be included unless specifically stated.

One-on-One Instructional Hours

Some professional associations require applicants to complete a certain number of hours of direct, one-on-one teaching.

The private instructional hours in this program can be documented, including the dates, length of sessions, and the main areas of instruction covered.

If you are considering this program because of an association requirement, you are responsible for confirming the association’s exact requirements.

This program may be a good fit if you:

• Learn best through conversation and direct instruction

An Invitation-Only Program

You are here because I sent you a personal invite.

This program is not publicly available.

I offer it privately to a small number of students who I believe may benefit from a more personally guided level of training and support.

Because the program includes thirty hours of private instruction, spaces are limited.

If I have invited you to consider this program, it is because I believe this kind of support may be helpful for the way you learn, the goals you have for the training, or the direction you want to take your work.

You are welcome to ask questions before deciding whether it is the right fit.
